4 ways to reduce Notion RAM usage
1 Use the browser version
Notion works great in a browser tab and shares the browser's process model instead of running a separate Electron instance. This can save 300–500 MB.
2 Close tabs in the sidebar
Each open page in Notion's sidebar consumes memory. Close pages you're not actively referencing.
3 Restart weekly
Like most Electron apps, Notion's memory grows over time. Restart it weekly to reclaim accumulated state.
4 Simplify database views
Complex Notion databases with many columns, filters, and views consume more memory. Simplify views you access frequently.
How DevPulse helps with Notion
DevPulse groups Notion's Electron processes into one view and tracks total memory consumption. It detects the gradual memory creep during long sessions.
Instead of guessing how much RAM Notion consumes or manually checking Activity Monitor, DevPulse gives you a clear, always-visible answer in your menu bar.
