Why DevPulse monitors Chrome

Chrome is the single biggest RAM consumer on most developer Macs. Its multi-process architecture spawns a helper for every tab, extension, and service worker — easily consuming 15–25 GB on a busy day. DevPulse cuts through the noise and shows you exactly where those gigabytes are going.

Quick tips to reduce Chrome RAM

1 Use Chrome's built-in Memory Saver (Settings → Performance) to suspend inactive tabs

2 Audit extensions — each one runs in its own process. Remove or disable ones you rarely use

3 Use Tab Groups and close groups when you're done with a task

4 Consider a tab manager extension like OneTab to offload tabs you'll need later
